Artwork Statement by Kevin Vo:
River Friendsย symbolises our relationship with natureโs transformations. Itย comprisesย of three water fauna that inhabit the waterways of the Nepean River โ a platypus, a frog, and aย fish. The platypus is adaptable and unique, theย fishย is stoic, and the metamorphosis of the frog refers to the change in the surrounding landscape, all of which are reflective of their strength in Camdenโs history of floods. They are sculptural shapes embodying whimsical play, combining nature with functional art.ย ย
River Friendsย invites us to sit, play and contemplate nature and the distinct ecosystems of Camden Town Farm and the surrounding Nepean River.ย
