StraBe worked with the project team to create a series of informal gathering spaces, including custom curved seating around the central tree, a conversation pit, curved Lemo benches, café tables, and more throughout the Islamic College of Melbourne. The curved seating quickly became a natural meeting point. A simple idea that creates a place people want to use.
All pieces were made with our TimbAlloy aluminium battens and powder coated in Pale Eucalypt. It gives the warmth of timber with the durability of aluminium, and no ongoing maintenance for the school.
